​​Historians believe that the game of bowls was developed from the Egyptians. One of their pastimes was to play skittles with round stones. Bowls is more famously attributed to the likes of Sir Francis Drake who famously continued his game of bowls when he was notified on the approach of the Spanish Armada.



These lamps have been made from beautiful hard wood vintage lawn bowling balls with bone inlay. They date from the early 20th Century and have been converted into character filled lamps.



Lamps are all wired and lampshades can be added at an extra cost.
