Dustbin and Bones, commissioned hand blown glass on natural woodland is a stunning concept inspired by the late Salvador Dali. Think "melting clock". In line with the Dustbin and Bones charter, each piece is a representative manifestation of surrealism. A period of art founded  between 1910 – 1920 to "resolve the previously contradictory conditions of dream and reality." 

 

Each piece is brilliantly different and unique.  

 

Natural woodland combines with light and water, with stunning effect.

 

To add to the fantasy each bespoke design can be used as: a powerful artistic statement, a water feature, a flower vase, a fish bowl, with fairy lights, with floating candles, with a dozen red roses, with LED lights, with crystals, with white marbles, and with water lilies. It is entirely up to you and your imagination! 

 

Glass is heated to a high temperature, is recyclable and is often very thick and heavy. This is a 3 day process to perfect.

 

The glass separates from the wood.

The wood used comes from mother nature herself. Often crafted  to add to the effect. Most of the wood used is: root teak, gammel, coffee(light coloured), robusta and arabica. Wood is sourced from all over the world. All natural and rediscovered. Often quite old and character laden. Wood is dug from the ground, treated, stripped of its bark, often wire brushed, cleaned and some have a protective varnish.

 

Each bespoke sculpture is truly inspirational.
